Helping the Poor
Helping the Poor. . . Christ calls on us to love our neighbor as ourselves. We partner with a variety of local and international organizations to feed, clothe, and provide shelter to the needy, lost and forgotten.
“Blessed are those who are generous, because they feed the poor.”
No child deserves to feel forgotten and alone. By partnering with with Angel Tree, we help the child of an incarcerated parent know they’re not forgotten, share the Gospel with lonely families, and serve as an example of Christ’s love to parents behind bars.
For most of us, a special meal is one of the ways we celebrate the birth of our Savior Christ. Imagine not being able to provide such a meal for yourself or your family. Through the Dove Program, you make a Holiday meal a reality for one of over 800 local families.
Feed My Starving Children is a Christian organization committed to feeding God’s children hungry in body and spirit. The approach is simple: children and adults hand-pack meals specifically formulated for malnourished children, which are shipped to to nearly 70 countries around the world.
The Open Door Shelter provides short term housing for about 100 people every day. Its Manna House kitchen and pantry provide three meals a day, every day— 60,000 meals per month. Through these and other programs, ODS strives to address the causes and complexities of the homeless and working poor
NPC has a partnership with the ADP Community in Palmera, Dominican Republic, with some 70 NPC members sponsoring children in this area. This sponsorship provides a significant and long term investment in the lives of the child and all living in the community.
Many in our church family have chosen to sponsor a child in the Palmera ADP in the Dominican Republic as part of our commitment to support the economic development and Christian witness in that area. If you are interested in sponsoring a child in this area please contact Stella Clarke.
