Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12.
This verse exemplifies how NPC views the role of its youth in missions. We believe that mission work does not have an age requirement, and that it is important for our young people to not only grow in their own faith, but to share that faith in various ways with the larger community – even throughout the world. NPC youth have found that along with being able to be God’s hands and feet to others, mission work has enabled them to solidify their own beliefs and relationships with God.
Our Student Ministries program offers many missions opportunities for its students. We have smaller service projects and mission opportunities throughout the school year and the summer that take place in the immediate community and surrounding area. We have an annual mission trip to Dunlow , West Virginia during the summer that is well-known for being a life changing experience for our students. The high school ministry leads a mission trip in the fall to NYC, another great opportunity. In addition to all of these, there is a church-wide mission trip to Juarez , Mexico that is open to students as well as adults.
